Dr Chatwell Habana completed university studies at University College Dublin, Ireland. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics & child Health). He offers general paediatric medical services for children from zero to 18 years of age. His special interest is in developmental disability and paediatric physical rehabilitation.
He enjoys interacting with families and is passionate about health advocacy. His experience includes working in Paediatrics at tertiary hospitals both in Ireland and Australia. He started his Paediatric training in Dublin at Temple Street Children’s Hospital followed by Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Chatwell completed his paediatric training in Australia through Westmead Childrens Hospital, Sydney Childrens Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital(RCH). Also spending time in paediatric departments at Bundaberg, Dubbo and Lismore. He also spent 2 years with the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS ) developing his rehabilitation skills.
Dr Habana enjoys a number of active hobbies including bush walking and off road driving, as well as interests in painting and music. He is also kept busy outside medicine by his three young children.
Due to the high demand on the paediatric service, at present Dr Chatwell is unable to accept any new patients.
